The Viper Room

Hannah Nalley

I’m going to keep this entry short and sweet. I’m only writing for the purposes of fulfilling my commitment, so don’t expect any revalatory material.

We had an amazing show. Iconic. Really, nothing could have gone better than it did, except for a few minor tweaks to the vocal performance. The nerves always come in to play on “Fire me up,” which is already a challenging song. Other than that, I was really feeling myself on most of the material and my stage presence is getting better.

I’m actually starting to have so much fun with it and there were a few things that really landed, especially “Baby One More Time” by Britney Spears, which was not our strongest song in rehearsal, but the crowds fed us and I was feeling electric. I can see all the hard work jusssst starting to pay off and I think we’re in a really good place for our third show. It was exhilarating to get off stage and have all those nerves be gone. Like the deepest, most satisfying side you’ve ever had.

Good things are coming, I can tell. Exactly what they are, I don’t know. More reflections in the next post. I gotta get to bed.

Ttyt,

Hannah
